Ultherapy

Ultherapy offers a non-surgical, no downtime natural approach to noticeably lift and tighten the brow, jawline, and neck, while improving the lines and wrinkles on your chest. Ultherapy may also be used to tighten areas around the eyes, mouth, elbows, knees, and abdomen. Read More.

Ultherapy uses ultrasound technology to safely deliver pulses of energy, in the form of low-level focused heat, to the muscle, deep and mid dermis, causing a gradual tightening of the underlying support structure of the skin.

What should I expect during my procedure?
Depending on the areas being treated, your procedure can last from 30 minutes to a couple of hours. There can be some temporary discomfort as energy is being delivered, but this is a signal that collagen building and tightening is being initiated. Comfort levels vary from patient to patient, and medication is offered prior to your procedure to help decrease any discomfort you may have.

What is the downtime for Ultherapy?
As an alternative to surgery, one of the many great benefits of the Ultherapy procedure is no downtime. There may be very minimal swelling or slight bruising. Many patients are comfortable returning to work or other daily activities immediately after the treatment.

What results should I expect from my Ultherapy treatment?
You will only need one treatment of Ultherapy to initiate the regenerative process of tightening and collagen-building. Results are gradual, and the full effect of your treatment will build over 3 to 6 months. As you continue to age, you may want to repeat the procedure for further tightening every 2-3 years.

Am I a candidate for Ultherapy?
At MONA Dermatology we cater to each of our patients individually and create treatment plans based on your specific needs.

SILHOUETTE INSTALIFT ™
SILHOUETTE INSTALIFT ™

SILHOUETTE INSTALIFT ™

Sagging skin is one of the major contributors to an aged and tired appearance. I have people asking me on a daily basis what are their non-surgical options. Until now, our only options have been fillers and Ultherapy, I am now excited to offer patients a new non-surgical, minimally invasive option. Read More.

Silhouette Instalift ™ is a minimally invasive, non-surgical in-office procedure that helps to re-contour your face by using entirely re-absorbable sutures to lift the deeper layers of your skin for a more youthful appearance. The results are instant but continue to improve over the next few weeks as the sutures unique properties actually help to build body’s own lost collagen. There is little downtime with minimal recovery time.

How does it work?
Very fine biodegradable sutures are placed deep into the skin and allow your provider to reposition sagging skin to a higher, more youthful position. The results are immediate and not painful. Your lift should last about 18-24 months.

What are the sutures made of and are they safe?
Silhouette Instalift ™ is made from Polyglycolide/L-lactide (PLGA), which has a long history of use as a well-tolerated, resorbable suture. The suture design was developed by scientists in the USA using reconstructive and aesthetic surgical expertise. The suture acts as scaffolding under the surface of the skin to lift sagging soft tissues. The cones both hold the threads in place and in time stimulate the body’s production of collagen to replace depleted facial volume which diminishes with age.

What happens to the sutures over time and how long will the InstaLift last?
The unique sutures cause the production of collagen to aid in healthy skin renewal for natural-looking, long-lasting results. The unique Silhouette Instalift ™ sutures will naturally be absorbed by your body and can be expected to last 18-24 months. The sutures eventually dissolve and natural aging continues, just as it would if you had no treatment or had a surgical lift.

How much lift can I expect?
Your level of lift will be determined by your level of skin laxity, and the number and location of sutures placed

What happens during a Silhouette Instalift ™treatment?
The area to be lifted will be marked out and numbed with a local anesthetic. Your provider will insert the patented Silhouette Instalift ™ sutures to lift the deeper layers of the skin in your mid-face or cheek area. The treatment does not require general anesthesia or stitches. Localized numbing is all that is needed for a comfortable procedure. Only a single needle entry point is required for each thin filament. There is no cutting or stitches. You will see results right away and the recovery time is minimal.

Is InstaLift the same as Thread Lift?
No. In the past decade (up until about 2009), suture lifts are known as Thread Lift (under additional terms) used barbed permanent sutures. The design of the barbed suture did not provide adequate holding power and would sometimes fail or “snap” since the barbs were essentially cut into the suture material itself. This older procedure was removed from the market. InstaLift uses biodegradable sutures with soft cones which dissolve over time and also ensure the lifting power your skin needs.

Thermage CPT

Thermage CPT is a non-invasive procedure that helps tighten and contour your skin in a single treatment. Without surgery, without injections, and with no downtime, you can get the procedure on your lunch hour and quickly return to work, family or other activities. Read More.

Thermage is a great treatment for hooding on the upper eyelids as well as fine lines on the lower eyelids. We have combined the technology of Thermage, Ultherapy, and BOTOX to provide you with a nonsurgical eyelid lift in the 4 your Eyes package. This includes Thermage to the eyelids, Ultherapy to the brow and crows feet, 20 units of BOTOX and TNS Eye Repair to help with dark circles.

How it works:
The Collagen in your dermis and subcutaneous tissue is a protein that keeps your skin youthful and tight. As you age and get more sun exposure, that collagen simply breaks down faster than your body can rebuild it. There are many tightening treatments that operate by heating the inner layers of skin. Unlike laser treatments and other technologies that heat the superficial skin layers, Thermage CPT uses unique Radiofrequency (RF) technology to reach deep into the dermis and subcutaneous tissue to cause tightening in the layers that matter most. This deep heating stimulates your body’s natural skin renewal process, which helps tighten existing collagen and form new collagen. Over time, sagging or wrinkled skin is replaced with smoother, tighter skin, improved tone and texture and an overall younger looking appearance. Thermage CPT can be used on all skin colors, on the face as well as on the body
