WHAT TO EXPECT

Before VISIA

If you are wearing makeup, our nurse or esthetician will always provide you with a cleansing wipe to remove it. This ensures that we capture the most accurate photos of your skin. We will also pull your hair back from your face using a soft headband. The team member who is helping you will explain what to expect, and answer any questions you may have.

During VISIA

You will place your chin and forehead on the frame of the VISIA machine. This is an awkward position for some patients, but it is still very comfortable. The team member assisting you will let you know when the VISIA is about to take you images. You will shut your eyes and relax, and see a series of flashes from the machine. You will also hear slight noise as the machine moves to capture all angles of your face. The entire imaging process takes only a few seconds.

After VISIA

After your images have been taken, the team member assisting you will briefly review and explain your results. If this is your first VISIA, they will point out characteristics such as sun damage, fine lines, and pore size that the imaging has detected. If you have had VISIA images in the past, they will pull up your earlier photos to compare progress.

It is important to remember that the VISIA is an ongoing imaging that we provide our patients. You will re-take VISIA photos before and after any treatments that you receive from us.
