Cincinnati Halo Laser Treatments

Most patients experience 1-3 days of swelling. Your skin may be pink and develop brown pepper flake like spots that should resolve within 4-7 days on the face, but this may be longer on other parts of the body.

Treatment time depends on the areas we are treating. Plan on being in the office for 1-2 hours including time for pictures, numbing and aftercare.

This treatment feels like a hot rubber band snaps on your skin but is very tolerable. We offer both topical numbing as well as Nitrous Oxide (PRONOX) to make this as comfortable as possible.

Both lasers are good treatments for brown spots, anti-aging, acne scarring, fine lines, wrinkles and texture. The Fraxel Dual is a dual wavelength laser that uses 2 non-ablative lasers (1927nm & 1550 nm) to address these concerns. The HALO laser uses an ablative laser (2940 nm erbium) as well as a non ablative laser (1470 nm) to treat concerns. They have similar downtimes. Your provider will work with you to decide which treatment is the best.

You will see improvement in tone, texture and pigment within 1-2 weeks, but you will continue to see improvement in fine lines and acne scarring after 3 months once collagen remodeling has occurred.
