Cincinnati Thermage® Treatments
Tighten the skin around your eyes without surgery, injections, or downtime.
Thermage uses radiofrequency to tighten and contour your skin in a single treatment. This is a great treatment for hooding on the upper eyelids and fine lines on the lower eyelids.
- Results last 1-2 years
- No downtime
- Can treat all skin types
- Prevent and slow down the aging process
What to Expect
Photos will be taken prior to your procedure to track your progress. You will be asked to remove contact lenses if you wear them. A nurse will then cleanse your skin and remove any eye makeup that you are wearing.
Your provider will place a plastic eye shield on your eyes to protect them from the radiofrequency. You will feel a warm sensation on the skin as the radiofrequency energy is delivered.
You may have some mild swelling or redness but this should go away within a few hours. Most patients return to their normal daily activities immediately after the treatment.
How long will the procedure take?
Treating the area of your eyes with Thermage usually takes 30-45 minutes. When combined with the 4 Your Eyes Package, you should plan on spending 1 hour with us.
Does Thermage hurt?
Comfort levels vary from patient to patient, but most people find this to be a very tolerable procedure.
What is the downtime?
Most people do not have any downtime after a Thermage treatment.
When will I see results & how long will they last?
Results are gradual but can be seen as early as 3 months after the treatment. As you continue to age, you may want to repeat the procedure for further tightening every 1-2 years.
How does Thermage work?
The collagen in your skin keeps your skin youthful and tight. As you age and get more sun exposure, that collagen breaks down faster than your body can rebuild it. Thermage uses unique Radiofrequency (RF) technology to reach deep into your skin to tighten the layers that matter most. This deep heating stimulates your body’s natural skin renewal process, which helps tighten existing collagen and form new collagen, giving you tighter and smoother skin over time.
Am I a candidate?
If you have mild to moderate hooding of the upper eyelids, fine lines and crepiness of the lower eyelids, Thermage may be a good treatment for you. As always, our trained providers will be able to best discuss your options at a consultation. Thermage is a good treatment for all skin types and is not prohibited if you have had sun exposure.
