Slim your chin and jawline with this long-lasting, fat-dissolving injection.
Have you ever wanted to improve your jawline and get rid of your double chin? Kybella improves the appearance of fat under the chin and along the jowls.
- Define your chin from every angle
- Permanently dissolves fat in treated areas
- High satisfaction among patients
What to Expect
Photos will be taken prior to your procedure to track your progress. A topical numbing cream will be applied for your comfort. We can also use an injectable lidocaine to further minimize discomfort. Our experienced providers will discuss your areas of concern.
We will then apply a temporary tattoo to help identify the treatment area. One of our skilled injectors will carefully inject Kybella into the target area. The tattoo will be removed after the treatment.
Kybella, once injected, may cause a light burning sensation that lasts 5 minutes. Once this burning sensation resolves, you will have some swelling in the treated area. Swelling is expected and can last from 5-10 days.
Before & After
How does Kybella work?
Many of us store fat under our chin, which can be genetic and is resistant to diet or exercise.
The active ingredient in Kybella is deoxycholic acid, a naturally occurring molecule normally made in your gallbladder to help in the breakdown and absorption of dietary fat.
When it is injected into the fat beneath your chin, Kybella causes the destruction of fat cells permanently.
Kybella is the first and only non-surgical option on the market to treat the double-chin area.
How long will my appointment take?
Our trained nurses will take pictures and apply a topical numbing for 20 minutes prior to your procedure beginning. Once the treatment begins, it will take about 20 minutes.
Does Kybella hurt?
Most people describe their Kybella treatment as very tolerable. Our nurses will apply a topical numbing cream to take the edge off the injections. Kybella, once injected, may cause a light burning sensation that lasts for 5 minutes. Once this burning resolves, you will have some swelling in the treated area which will be tender to touch.
When will I see results?
You will start seeing results within the first 4 weeks and will continue to improve for up to 8 weeks after treatment. Most people need more than one treatment for optimal results.
What are common side effects of Kybella?
Kybella, once injected may cause a light burning sensation that lasts 5 minutes. Once this burning sensation resolves, you will have some swelling in the treated area. Swelling is expected and can last from 5-10 days. You may also have bruising, tenderness, numbness and mild discomfort, which usually lasts anywhere from 5-14 days. You will see results in 4-8 weeks.
