This is usually a no-downtime procedure. Occasionally, a bruise may develop where the IV was placed.

Plan on being in the office for approximately 1 - 1.5 hours, which includes the time for IV placement and treatment. Some IV treatments, such as NAD, may require longer appointments up to 4 hours for your first treatment. Your IV nurse will inform you in advance of your anticipated appointment duration.

Most patients will be a candidate for IV therapy, with the exception of those with congestive heart failure, renal failure, active fever, or active vomiting. You will also meet with one of our medical providers prior to your treatment to confirm that your recommended IV protocol is a good fit for your medical history and health goals.

We strive to make you as comfortable as possible. There may be a short-lived moment of discomfort as the IV is being placed, but afterwards you will be able to relax while you receive your infusion.

You should feel refreshed within a few hours with most IV’s. Some people may need more than one treatment depending on the type of IV and their desired outcome.
