Cincinnati LED Light Therapy
Treat acne, redness, and aging with LED light.
Use the power of red, blue, white or amber light to treat acne, redness, rosacea or irritated skin and promote anti-aging.
- Painless with no downtime
- Safe for all skin colors and types
- Can be added on to other treatments
What to Expect
Your esthetician will start by taking your VISIA picture to get a baseline and assess your skin’s progress. She will then cleanse your face.
To protect your eyes from the very bright LED light, you will be given protective eyewear. Once the light is turned on, you will simply relax while it treats your skin. The treatment is very comfortable and you should not feel anything at all.
After your treatment, continue your normal skincare routine and be sure to use a sunscreen that contains zinc oxide.
How does LED Light Therapy work?
Each wavelength of light creates slightly different results in the skin. For example, red light targets the outer layer of skin by stimulating the production of collagen. This promotes younger-looking skin and reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. On the other hand, blue light targets acne-causing bacteria beneath the skin and calms overactive sebaceous (oil) glands. This can help reduce acne breakouts and treat pimples, cysts and nodules.
How long is my treatment?
Treatment time varies based upon which LED light is being used, and can be anywhere from 10-20 minutes.
What results can I expect?
For best results, we recommend a package of 4 treatments spaced 1 week apart. You will see a small change in your skin after your first treatment, but noticeable results will continue to improve with each treatment in your package.
Does LED Light Therapy hurt?
No, LED Therapy is very comfortable and completely painless.
Is LED Light Therapy safe?
Yes, LED therapy is safe for all skin colors and skin types. Some of the LEDs are not safe for pregnancy, so be sure to let your provider know if you are expecting so that they can customize your treatment accordingly.
Am I a candidate for LED Light Therapy?
Anyone who wants to treat acne, redness, or promote younger-looking skin is a candidate for LED therapy.
