What to Expect
Please stop using retinol for 7 days prior to your treatment. Photos will be taken prior to your procedure to track your progress. A topical numbing cream will be applied for your comfort.
We will place metal goggles on you to protect your eyes. During the treatment, you will see a bright light and feel a sensation like a rubber band snapping on your skin.
We will apply a cream to promote healing and a mineral-based sunscreen to your skin. You will be slightly pink right after the treatment and this will last for about a day.
Before & After
How does it work?
Using a picosecond pulse instead of heat to help build collagen and treat brown pigment, the PicoSure® laser offers you revolutionary way to get rid of tattoo ink, brown spots and build collagen without sacrificing downtime.
How long will my appointment take?
Our trained nurses will take pictures and apply a topical numbing for 20 minutes prior to your procedure beginning. Once the treatment begins, it will take about 40 minutes.
Does PicoSure hurt?
This laser does not hurt and is very tolerable. You may feel some heat on your skin after you are treated, but this only lasts for 10-20 minutes.
When will I see results?
You will see improvement within 3-4 weeks.
Is PicoSure safe?
PicoSure® is safe in the hands of a trained professional. If you have darker skin color, we may want to do a test spot to make sure that this laser is the right choice for you.
How often should I do a Picosure treatment for skin rejuvenation?
This is a great no-downtime treatment that helps to slowly build collagen under the skin. We recommend a series of treatments every year for best results.
Will there be downtime?
If you are treating a tattoo, you will have some mild crusting for a few days which you will need to treat with Aquaphor or vaseline. If you are treating aging, melasma, or acne scarring, you will be slightly pink right after the treatment and this will last for about a day.
