What to Expect

First Visit
You will leave the office with the peel still on your face, so plan your treatment for a day that you can go straight home. Talking or moving your face can cause the peel to crack and flake off, so try to take it easy for the rest of the day.
Your provider will apply the Cosmelan Peel and go over your schedule for home care and follow-up visits. Immediately following your peel, avoid sun exposure and heat sources. You will leave the peel on until the time instructed by your provider using lukewarm water, and apply the provided Melan Recovery Cream.

At-Home
Over the next 60 days, you will apply your provided post-care products two to three times per day, as instructed.
Home care is an essential part of the Cosmelan process. Individuals who are unable to stay consistent with the post-care regimen are not good candidates for this treatment.

Follow-Up Visits
You will come back in for a follow-up at day 15, day 30, and day 60 to assess your progress.
At your 15-day visit, your provider will apply an anti-stress hydrating mask.
At your 30-day visit, a second layer of the Cosmelan peel will be applied to any areas with stubborn pigment.
Your 60-day visit will be used to review your results and determine if further at-home care is needed to achieve your desired results.
